Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My kindergarten classroom is made up of 20 eager learners from very diverse backgrounds. My students and their families speak a total of six different languages. We are a Title I school with over 60% of our students receiving free or reduced lunch.
With this being my students' first year of school, I hope to create an environment of learning, creativity and curiosity where my kindergartners feel safe to explore and learn.
I have a wonderful group of students this year who are encouraging with and take great care of one another.
My Project
My students need a variety of art supplies they can use to express themselves on special projects and in their daily work. Through your generous donation, I hope to provide my students with colorful and interesting materials that will encourage their imaginations.
My kindergartners are tactile learners who learn best when given opportunity for hands-on learning.
I would love to have a stash of creative materials my students can explore in order to create meaningful work. Not only will your donation be used throughout this school year, but many of the requested supplies will be used for years to come!
