Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a wonderful group of second-grade students! They love reading and writing about many topics. The enjoy using technology to publish their work. They are eager to learn about new subjects. My students are always reading for enjoyment in school and at home. It has been amazing to see them grow and learn this year. They are ready to learn, achieve and succeed in second grade! I am eager to provide them with new experiences each day at school.

My Project

There are many benefits of using centers in the classroom. Centers enable students to interact in a relaxed setting, and empower them to navigate the learning environment on their own, at their own speed and in diverse groups. Well-chosen centers activities accommodate different learning styles! Centers allow students to self-direct as they apply skills and strategies in fun, engaging ways. Students are able to complete the center activities and self check their answers. Centers allow teachers to address the distinct needs of small groups of students while providing meaningful activities to students working independently.
