Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are hardworking, fun, kind-hearted, and they always strive to do their best work! So far we are having a blast in 4th grade and have learned so much! We are looking to add some movement in and out of our classroom!
My students are 21st century learners, we use our Chromebooks to do math practice and could use a set of headphones so we don't have to mute!
My students need a set of headphones so while we're working independently, we can utilize the sound on our assignments.
My Project
My students and I brainstormed a list of items that we felt would make our year a success both in and out of the classroom. We are asking for a set of in-class headphones, so when we are working on our independent enrichment projects or games, such as prodigy and zearn, both online math games, students have access to hear the sound opposed to having to mute their computer to keep distractions down.
While we enjoy being indoors and using our Chromebooks and other technology, we love going outside for PE!
We are required to provide PE to our students and currently, with limited play areas and renovation to our campus, we are limited on what we can do. So we are asking for handballs, a soccer ball, and a baseball bat and baseballs so we can play team sports rather than just running laps!
Lastly, we are asking for a set of clipboards because we like to get up and move around for activities! Sitting all day is boring and causes us to be restless! Ensuring clipboards are available to us, we can grab one and move about the room during our gallery walks or if we need to take our work outdoors!
