My Project

In my algebra classroom, students use hands-on activities to provide students with brain breaks during the 80-minute block class. The teacher seeks to incorporate social media resources from other teachers to find engaging games for classroom review, such as the Match Madness game, which encourages strategic thinking. The potential benefits of social-emotional learning (SEL) in engaging students and breaking up the classroom routine is being able to add all types of games or activities to get them excited about learning.

Aiming to address students' SEL needs through the incorporation of games that facilitate brain breaks, math review, and cooperative learning, ultimately helps students reach their potential!

The Match Madness game is specifically mentioned as a successful example of a game that can promote strategic thinking among students.

Furthermore, I want to emphasize the significance of social-emotional learning (SEL) in educational settings. I wholeheartedly believe that incorporating moments to meet students' SEL needs will help enhance student engagement and contribute to their overall well-being and success. This indicates proactive efforts to enhance the classroom environment by providing resources that cater to students' diverse needs, including academic review and social-emotional development.
