My Students

We are a small school in rural South Dakota with our average class size around 20. Each of my students in elementary STEM class enjoy the interactions and activities that STEM gives them. My students have so much energy and excitement when they get to STEM.

Our teachers and tech department are working hard to integrate STEM into as much learning as we can for our students.

We know that STEM careers are in demand and provide limitless pathways to success for students.

My Project

My younger elementary students will use the Matatalab pro coding set to experience the world of programming. This set is perfect for young students. Matalalab uses pictures for commands, so reading isn't required. Students learning the basic commands in programming such as sequencing, loops, & functions.

Implementing this set into my classroom students will get experience in math, geometry, music, art & science.

This set will prepare students for the basics in those content areas as well as in fundamentals in computer science. With STEM careers on the rise, exposing students to concepts in critical thinking depends their knowledge in science, technology, engineering and math.
