Help me give my students opportunities to become better mathematicians. My kids love math, and adding these engaging games will provide them with tools they need to solve problems more quickly.
I teach third grade at a Title I school in Maricopa, Arizona. There are about 30 kids in our class. Sixty percent of my students come from low income families. Our school has limited resources and supplies for us. My students all come from very diverse backgrounds. They are inquisitive kids who love to learn new things and make discoveries. My kids especially love science and math. Our class community is learning each day about the importance of being kind and respectful towards one another in our thoughts, words, and actions.
My Project
Multiplication is one of the most important skills a third grader needs to master. Almost everything we do requires them to be fluent in multiplication. Memorizing facts can be a boring task with worksheets and flashcards. Being able to have the kids use these engaging games will help them want to practice their facts.
Creating a desire to learn is one of my goals with my group of students.
When they see these games, I know they will be very willing to learn their facts. This will help them be successful in the future. Thank you for your willingness to provide an opportunity for my students to become multiplication masters.
