Do you remember what it was like when your teacher hung your newly published piece of writing, for all to see? You were so proud and wanted everyone to stop are read your masterpiece. My students need a place for their writing to be displayed.
My students are readers, mathematicians, scientists, and writers.
They are curious, expressive, and inquisitive about the world around them. My students attend the best elementary school around! Our school is home to slightly more than three-hundred and fifty kindergarten through fourth grade students. Our school is made up of many different economic backgrounds, with over half our student body receiving free or reduced lunch.
My Project
With this new bulletin board my students will be able to proudly display their writing and artwork. Parents, teachers, visitors, and other students will be able to see how my students grow in their writing. Displaying pieces of published work is a part of our new common core standards. This bulletin board will provide my students a place to showcase their masterpieces. Who knows, the next Steven King or James Patterson may use this bulletin board to display one of their first original works.
This project is very special to my class since it will provide a way to showcase their work and writing.
Entering third grade students are learning how to express themselves through writing. They love to write story, letters, and even poems. Students glow with pride when their writing is read and shared with the class. This project will allow me to allow my students to glow with pride a little longer, by displaying their writing on a bulletin board for all that pass to read and enjoy.
