My Students

Rubik's cubes are a challenging puzzle that seem almost impossible to master, but with practice and perseverance any student can learn their secrets.

My classroom is composed of highly gifted students, many of whom have not dealt with failure or developed their ability to persevere through challenges.

Rubik's cubes are a fun way to introduce students to the idea that sometimes you have to struggle to succeed.

My Project

My students need 28 Rubik's Cubes to learn about perseverance in challenges, problem solving, and fostering an environment of friendly competition. Students will work together to support each other in learning how to solve Rubik's Cubes challenges through targeted introduction lessons and free time practice. They will also participate in friendly competitions of speed solving while learning good sportsmanship.

My students will be better prepared to face new challenges having experienced the joy of mastering something they have to work at.

It will benefit their social and emotional development by encouraging them to take responsible risks and think flexibly.
