Mastering Mathematical and Phonological Minds with Manipulatives!
Help me give my students Multiplication Machines. They would benefit from hands-on tools to help learn the facts during their skill math stations! My students also need hand-on phonic manipulatives!
Third grade has always been my passion mostly because of the uniqueness that this age level brings to the classroom each day. Third graders love the challenges of learning yet still like the fun of school.

That is what makes my day awesome! I currently teach in a Title 1 school. Each child brings his/her own life challenges to the classroom. My children crave love, attention, and learning.
I want to provide my students with hands-on-learning opportunities. They love activities and manipulatives which keep their interest and heighten their learning experiences!
My Project
Firsthand interaction with manipulatives helps students understand mathematics. Manipulatives provide concrete ways for students to bring meaning to abstract mathematical ideas. They help students learn new concepts and relate new concepts to what they have already learned. The Mathematical Multiplication Machines will help my students understand and learn their multiplication facts. The machines will be used during my math workshop where students can work independently on the machines.
The benefit of using manipulatives to master phonics patterns has long been established, especially with struggling readers.
Research supports the use of multisensory instructional techniques to engage students, and improve their performance. During our third grade intervention block, students would work with the phonic words and games to strengthen their skills.
