I am a lucky teacher of second-grade students. My students aim to please and are always interested in learning something new. They think best when given hands-on materials. Their curious nature makes them so very special!
I find that it is very important to keep my students engaged and excited about learning.
The best way to do this is by providing them with hands-on materials and resources that focus on current events. This allows my students the opportunity to learn more about what is taking place in the world around them. In addition, it makes learning a lot more fun!
Each year, I am blessed with a group of amazing second grade students. Each student enters my class at different mathematical abilities.
As their teacher, I feel it is my job to make math fun!
One consistent approach that I use is incorporating hands-on manipulatives during my lessons. I am asking for sets of dominoes that will help my students master their math facts and also learn how to tell time. The domino sets are perfect for my students. They can use with a partner or in a small group. These manipulatives will be the perfect way to help my students become even better mathematicians.
