My Students

Kindergarten is such an exciting year for students. This is the year that my students will develop a love for lifelong learning! They will learn to read, write, and build early math skills. It is also a year to learn about how to work effectively as a classroom family, and build social skills.

This is a crucial year for them to learn how to work well with their peers, listen to others, build social skills, and grow as a community.

The best part about working with my students is their passion and excitement to learn.

My Project

My students need a comfortable and structured space to meet as a whole class. This classroom carpet will provide us with a place to gather together for academic lessons, as well as community building. As a classroom family we spend a lot of time meeting to learn, talk, and grow together.

A classroom carpet with defined spaces is a great management tool to teach my students about boundaries and personal space.

When working with such enthusiastic little learners it is crucial that they know they have a spot that belongs exclusively to them so that they can focus their attention on the task at hand.
