This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Have you ever been in a first grade classroom? It is amazing! Right? My first graders are vibrant, curious learners who love to explore the world around them. They are constantly on the go and ready for the next adventure.

My Project

Many of my students have ill-fitting masks that either slip from their noses, bulge at the sides or only have 1 to 2 layers of protection. With the rise of the Omicron variant of COVID, new, well-fitted masks are a necessity. New masks will give my students and me an added layer of protection while at school and when they are out and about with their families. New masks will not only minimize, if not prevent, the spread of COVID-19, it will also protect against the spread of cold and flu germs.
