My Students

I teach at a TK-6 school where a majority of the students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds, but this doesn't affect their thirst for learning. I have a great bunch of kindergartners that are so eager and enthusiastic about learning new things every day. Even though most students are English learners, their passion for learning overpowers.

Being able to provide fun and engaging materials will help students develop a growth mindset and promote 21st-century learning.

I want to create an enjoyable environment where students can be successful and thrive.

My Project

Staying safe is the number one priority for these kids during this time of rising Covid cases. What better way to keep students safe by providing them with much needed disposable masks.

Students often need to change out their masks throughout the day therefore it is good to have extra masks.

Providing them with a lanyard will also eliminate the lost of their masks.

I am also requesting snacks for students who often do not eat breakfast at home. Providing snacks such as cereal bars and crackers will keep students focused during class. I have also requesting lotion to moisturize students hands due to all the sanitizing they do throughout the day. I believe that providing these items will help make students feel safe and cared for in this difficult time.
