My students need 15 sets of math materials and other supplies including a bulletin board, math based literature, markers, and math games to use during math lessons.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The NYS math exam is approaching and we need your help! My students are struggling in math. They are struggling with division, geometry, measurement, and algebra. We need supplies and activities that are motivating for them in order to excel in math. My students love hands-on activities.
My students are 5th grade students who are part of a low-income community.
Many of them cannot afford supplies and need support. They enjoy using their whiteboards, but cannot afford markers to use for their boards. We use whiteboards for assessing knowledge. The students write their answers on their boards. We check for understanding as they hold up their boards. Also, we are in a title I school where students come from low-income families and are need of supplies. Please help us!
My Project
The math games will help reinforce skills that were taught in class. This will also help the students work together with their peers. My students need to learn math skills that are found on their state assessments. Some of these skills are difficult for the students to understand because many of my students are visual learners.
Please help us pass our math NYS exam fo 2010.
We would appreciate any donation possible. My students are very appreciative and get excited and motivated when things are given to them to help them succeed.
