My school has three programs in one school. We have a Special Ed preschool, we have a city feeder behavioral program, and a mainstream component. It has a very diverse population and diverse needs. What they all have in common is a need to be supported and engaged in learning.
We pride ourselves on meeting the needs of all of our students.
I want our students to be creative, innovative, and have a passion for learning. My students need to be challenged with independent thinking skills. The materials I am asking for are utilized by all students in the school.
My Project
Students will be excited to learn about magnetism while building structures and other shape challenges with magnets. The possibilities of what students can create are endless. Magnetism is an easy and engaging way to introduce students to science.
Students will be amazed to experience the magnetic field through play and experimentation.
They will learn about the attraction and repelling of different sides of magnets with hands on learning. Students will use their different learning styles to manipulate the magnets, during exploration sessions. Students will also work together to create different challenges such as tallest structure while focusing on balance and teamwork.
