My students are four-year-olds who come from a high poverty neighborhood in a large city in the Midwest. They are smart, energetic, enthusiastic and affectionate children who love school. They love to explore, play, investigate and try new things. My students attend a high quality, public preschool.
My adorable students come to school everyday ready to learn.
They are full of life, have lots to talk about, and are always open to participating in challenging, engaging and fun activities.
Our classroom is in need of subscriptions to Scholastic Classroom Magazine, which is a wonderful magazine that exposes young children to nonfiction text in an easy to understand fun way. My students love looking at books and I know they will really enjoy having their own copy of this colorful, interesting magazine each month. The big real-life pictures and simple text will captivate and motivate my early learners. The topics, vocabulary, number and letter activities and home/school connections included in this magazine will support their emergent math, science and literacy skills, which will lead to success in preschool and beyond.
