Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Here at our school, we have a significant number of students that come from poverty and hard home lives. These students are performing below grade level and need a fun way to catch up. Many students do not have access to technology for academic purposes which would help decrease their learning gap. Instead, they are even further behind the current level of education.
Besides their home lives, we have very limited materials as a district and they are not buying any additional resources to supplement and support our learning and address our needs.
My Project
These materials will help the scholars in their daily work. The paper allows for supplemental and daily material to be printed. The fine point markers are for station work, and they feel more like a pencil. It's the little things that can stop the flow of the day. Neither of these items are provided to us by the school but are needed daily. So the simplicity of copy paper takes a burden off the classroom atmosphere and we don't have to be worried if there are just enough copies for everyone. These essential supplies mean the world to a classroom, students especially.
