Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I currently work with a group of 42 amazing kids - students from Phoenix, Arizona. These students are immersed in a STEM environment to help ensure success in today's technology fueled world. They are of low socioeconomic status, without access to quality technology for each student. The goal is to help each student achieve their vibrant goals, both academically and at home.
My incredible group of students practice "Kids at Hope".
Therefore, they believe they are worth it, capable of learning, and deserving of learning. As such, I hope to give them all of the necessary tools.
My Project
We are requesting supplies which include dry erase markers, kleenex, notebooks and tape for interactive notebooks and hands on learning!
This project and these materials aim to allow for hands on and engaging learning to continue to take place in our classroom!
Additionally, we need basic supplies to make the classroom a warm learning space! These supplies include kleenex, cleaning wipes, lined paper, dry erase markers, and notebooks. We engage in a lot of "interactive" learning where we document all of it via notebooks with pop-out features and color - making our STEM learning that much more fun!
As our classroom is made up of a large majority of low SES students, these supplies to help out classroom largely depend on donors and the community.
