This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
When my students walk into their classroom, I want them to feel safe and loved. I do my best to set the tone for a wonderful day as soon as we enter the class. I expect them to take great pride in our room, as well as in their work. We work hard from the time we arrive, until it is time to go home. I am a tired teacher at the end of the day, but it is well worth it.
My classroom consists of 21 brilliant 2nd graders from all walks of life.
I have students with special needs, students that are beyond our grade level, and some students that just need a warm smile each morning. No matter what level we are working at, we all respect and learn from one another.
I am thankful each and every day for this group of students. They learn from me, I learn from them, and we love to have a good time!
My Project
In our classroom, we rarely use worksheets. We work mostly in small groups and centers. These supplies I am asking for, will allow me to encourage my students to be more hands on with their learning.
The markers will allow the students to respond to questions on whiteboards, the headphones will allow them to work on our computer program, and the games will make learning more enjoyable.
Being that it is nearing the end of the year, our supplies are slowly diminishing. These supplies will help our school year end with a bang! Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
