My students need new books! I teach 4th graders and in Missouri, the best literature for that age group are given the Mark Twain award. These books encourage and motivate readers.
This year, I have 19 students in my class. They are smart, kind, helpful and EXCITED about learning. They loved reading this year and were hungry for more!
We celebrate and embrace what makes us different as well as highlight what unites us as learners.
I have a variety of ability levels ranging from below grade level to well above grade level.
I am excited to help my class of eager 4th graders enhance their learning with some exciting new classroom supplies! Thank YOU for helping us achieve this!
My Project
In Missouri, the best literature each year are awarded the Mark Twain Reader's Award. These books are read by 4th graders all over the state. Each year 10 books are chosen.
Making these books available for all of the students in my classroom would encourage and promote that love of reading!
I am excited to share these books with my student through read alouds and book clubs. Books are such a great way for students to relate to problems and identify feelings in their own life. These books share many real-world problems and situations that kids this age go through.
