This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kids are the best! We have over 5000 students from over 100 different countries all in one building. My students are in grades 10, 11, and 12. A large amount of them are learning English as their second language. Unfortunately, my students live in an impoverished community in New York State. For most of my students, they would be the first in their family to graduate high school, let alone college. I want to give my kids every opportunity so get ahead in life and be successful.

My Project

Marine Science is a new elective to our district, and there are no supplies for the student to research within or outside the class. These probe will allow students to understand the water quality of the fish tanks, and water samples which will be brought in from outside environments. The goal of the class is to introduce to the students the importance of our oceans for recreational, commercial, and scientific benefits. With the probes students will be able to clearly convey all 3 critical parameters for successful sea life.

Understanding the water quality gives the students the base for all other fields of marine science.
