Mr. Ferguson from Moulton AL is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need the cable and transmitter hardware on the drone. They will use the monitor to have live feed video from the uav. The iOSD will give flight info.

As a music educator it is my goal to connect students with a positive music experience while maintaining their important and crucial core studies curriculum. I am always looking for other ways to incorporate non-musical content into the everyday band classroom and technology is a fun way to do that.
Our school is a diverse Title 1 school in a rural area.
With the counties largest employer shutting down recently, there are only a limited number of jobs available locally. Many families have experienced the pressure of unemployment resulting in hard times for students as well. Technology is a staple skill in today's job place that can be taught in unusual places such as music education. The goal is for each student to feel that they will be a valuable productive asset in today's recovering economy while having an aesthetic experience through music.
Through generous donations from contributors in donorschoose.org, we received funding to get a flying copter drone and Gopro camera last school year. With the newly requested technology we will be able to modify the drone to have a live view of what the camera is seeing in the air. My students will learn to operate, assemble, and modify the drone so that the new technology can be utilized. Marching band is a completely visual activity. This video technology will allow us to make instant corrections rather than later having to view the film footage after bringing the drone to the ground.
My students work extremely hard during marching band season.
The practice schedule is as intense as the football team practice schedule. My students will be very excited to have the technology to improve what we do on a daily basis. The drone piloting technology is a breaking technology and a possible career field for students. I am excited to offer this introduction to this exploding technology that is here to stay.
