Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have 13 awesome students! I am a third grade special education self-contained teacher. Each day, we try to make the most of every minute we spend together. Together, we learn how to celebrate our successes and learn from our failures. They come to school each day ready to try their best!
They are the most wonderful, inquisitive and active students who continue to amaze me every day!
They make coming to school every day a joy! They are learning and growing academically and having fun doing it! They deserve my best every single day and that is what I strive to give them.
My Project
Our class had a wonderful NASCAR room transformation this year. My students were excited and engaged throughout the week. They worked extremely hard throughout all the activities. For this Boot Camp transformation I plan on using the tent during literacy, as well as using the tablecloths to cover their desks so they can do their work on top or underneath their desks like a shelter. I believe engagement is one of the most important parts of good instruction and room transformations provide instant engagement!
The starry-eyed looks on their faces was amazing when they saw their NASCAR room transformation!
I want my students to be excited about learning and I always want them to wonder what will happen next inside our classroom!
The items in this project will be used for a Boot Camp transformation! We will “march along” on our various tasks in our new boot camp setting!
