Map Your Way Through Learning on the Carpet!
My students need a classroom carpet to engage them during whole-class lessons.
"Excellence in education is when we do everything that we can to make sure they become everything that they can."
-Carol Ann Tomlinson
I teach an eager group of first graders who love to learn!
My classroom consists of a high percentage of students living in poverty and some with English as their second language. Many of my students are on free or reduced breakfast and lunch. Many of my students lack stability in their home; so, I am trying to create that in my classroom. No matter what is going on at home, my students always do their best!
This United States map carpet will create an exciting space to have my students sit on during lessons. This will allow them to become familiar with the United States while learning all subjects. The carpet will go in the front of the classroom where I do most of my whole group instruction. Students will sit on the carpet and will allow them specific spots to sit so they are not distracted by seating choice. The carpet will also create a work area for partners and small groups that is desirable and exciting. My eager first graders cannot wait to receive this carpet!
