My project will serve approximately 200 agri-science and animal science students from grades 9-12th grades. My students are also FFA members. Students who do not find success anywhere else will find success in my classroom. I have students from every walk of life in my program. Students from advanced placement to special needs enjoy and learn from the courses offered in Career and Technical Education.
I feel that teamwork and critical thinking skills are extremely important.
Teamwork and critical thinking are the skills that employers want, and they’re the skills we all need to live meaningful, productive lives. In my classroom, I incorporate both.
My Project
This project will purchase a next-gen printer for the next generation. 3D printing will allow us to create intera OPctive, mechanical and technical lessons. Students need to be exposed to advances in technology to show them that possibilities are endless, and to inspire the creators and makers of the future.
If ever I mention 3D printing or show my students a video of 3D printing technology being used, they become entranced and in awe of taking an idea, drawing it out in CAD, and watching it be created before their eyes.
Unfortunately, this stops at discussions and videos because we do not have a 3D printer.
Students need to be exposed to advances in technology to allow them to feel connected to their peers around the world, to show them that possibilities are endless, and to inspire the creators and makers of the future.
I will stop at nothing to provide the high-quality educational experience these future scientists, engineers, and visionaries need.
There are many ways in which 3D printing can be used to enhance the students' learning experience. It offers near-endless possibilities to fire up imagination, foster teamwork and overall make learning more fun.
I have very creative, imaginative, and driven students who need to be challenged and inspired and it is my goal and desire to provide them with the technology necessary to allow for their ideas to develop and change the world.
