This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are part of our pre-school classroom family. We come together daily to create learning experiences and develop positive social skills through our guided play, projects and daily activities. The children have happy hearts and minds. They love to learn and do so every day.
We help guide the children's growth by providing opportunities to learn and grow in the classroom.
This is possible by providing developmentally appropriate materials and experiences to the children. These children are our most precious commodity and are our future leaders.
My Project
I would like the opportunity to provide these Kid's Fire tablets for the children to allow them to learn as a class to positively use technology. Technology is a part of adults everyday life wither it is work, school or your home life. My students can learn reading, writing and math skills through the applications on the tablets that I will provide. We will stay connected with parents and other school staff through our ClassDojo application that allows us to share classroom experiences with others that use the application. I will also use this as a teaching opportunity for the children's parents. We will talk about what is appropriate and not appropriate for the children when technology is involved.
By providing these tablets I will be able to give the children a head start in the technological world and build a foundation to use technology in a positive manner.
