All of my students have an amazing story to tell. Their personal experiences that have shaped and transformed their lives already are more than many of us could even think could happen to a student that is 12-14 years old. When they leave school they are responsible for younger siblings and household chores because their parents are working. I am so proud of each one of them simply because they show up with a positive attitude each morning!
As a teacher at my middle school, I am grateful to be a part of each of my students' lives as we grow and learn together each and every day!
For our second module in Expeditionary Learning, we will be reading Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream." This can be and is a challenging read, especially for middle school students, but this version of the play is different.
By reading Shakespeare in a graphic novel, the images better engage all students by presenting a visual representation that will help students connect and comprehend what is happening in the text.
This is a unique and fun way to get kids excited about reading Shakespeare so please consider donating to help my kids achieve success in and out of the classroom. Thank you!
