This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This a great visual and hands-on project for our high school students. The goal of the mammal heart model activity is for students to gain a greater understanding of the physiology of the heart. The mid-sagittal dissection separates the preserved heart into 2 halves showing the 4 chambers, valves, papillary muscles, interventricular septum, and aorta.

Our students will learn with the help of this model that the heart is the primary organ of your circulatory system.

It pumps blood throughout your body, controls your heart rate, and maintains blood pressure

The specimen is firmly secured to a plastic plate. The plate is mounted in a clear acrylic container filled with a safe propylene glycol solution and sealed.
