Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My high school students are full of talent and continuously look for ways to express themselves. They are amazing young people with personalities that would inspire anyone to continue teaching. They have chosen to stay in music through high school, because they are interested in creating and experiencing music.

My Project

This project is a follow-up to a previously funded project. As I have learned more about teaching remotely, there is a need for more of these musical instruments. The students will be able to bring these to the classroom to continue practicing and performing with the Malletstation!

Malletstations will make it possible for my students to contribute beyond the snare drum technique.

The Marimba Mallets will provide the materials necessary to play the instrument, and use proper technique to achieve quality results.

This project would provide one Malletstation and two sets of marimba mallets for my percussion program.
