This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are going to travel the world from within the walls of the classroom.

My students attend a combined middle and high school and most live in low income housing.

Many lack the motivation to expand their worlds and need the boost given at school. All of my students are bursting with personality and enjoy sharing who they are!

My Project

Many of my students have rarely left the little community they're growing up in. By providing maps of the world they can manipulate and interact with, they will be able to understand how big the world is and how they can branch out. They will be learning both World History and World Geography.

Since most of my students come from poverty, many don't have school supplies or only have the basics.

By providing manipulatives that the students can interact with, they will have a more well-rounded experience.
