Creativity, imagination and play are at the heart of my teaching philosophy. Our unique location within the children’s museum allows us to bring our lessons to life in our daily instruction. This provides the perfect setting for our curious and creative first graders to ask questions and use their imaginations to explore and understand the world around them.
My students learn best when they are actively involved in the learning process.
Tactile learning provides our students, who come from different backgrounds and experiences, the chance to apply core academic subjects and social-emotional skills through hands-on projects and activities.
The materials I am requesting will allow me to actively engage my students during phonics instruction. A class set of whiteboards and magnetic letters ensures that all students will be able to participate in whole group lessons, small group instruction and literacy centers.
Your donation gives my students the opportunity to make words and practice sound manipulation with hands-on materials.
With these materials, I plan to create targeted lessons that reach the wide range of readers in my classroom. Magnetic letters are a wonderful resource as they allow students at varying levels to access our lessons in a meaningful way. Thank you for helping us make learning magnetic!
