My students need supplies such as paint and sealer to paint a mural on the school hallway wall to help students build energy and excitement in the school community.
Do you remember the enthusiasm during "the big game" or the unity during Spirit Week at your high school? We are trying to bring back the school spirit with a mural!
Our student population is at a record high this year, but we are a small, tight-knit community.
Students struggle everyday to have enough food to eat, and parents struggle to find work.
The kids are grateful for everything they have, but the less than desirable home life can be taxing on their self esteem. These amazing kids need a "bright look" to make them feel at home when they are at school.
My Project
Our school has set a goal for 80% of our students to earn a diploma and move on to college or a trade/job. The students have been down since the train wreck in 2005, and closing of the factories.
I have requested supplies such as paint and sealer to paint a mural on the school hallway wall to help students build energy and excitement in the school community. The mural will give them a bright outlook to their future, as well as give the school a more at home feeling, helping them belong and want to be at school. Please help us give these kids hope!
Please help me make the school have a new life.
The students work hard at school and at home just to survive. This mural project can truly give them the opportunity to be proud of where they live and where they call "home".
