Help me give my students headphones, whiteboards, kits, learning centers, and other materials for the most engaging differentiated literacy small-group experience possible.
My students are so eager to learn and grow! I am trying to incorporate a variety of instructional strategies and engaging activities, but as a first-year teacher supplies are limited. Coming from a rural community often students find themselves not having the opportunity to experience some of the more rewarding activities that are available for students in a more populated area. My goal is to create the most engaging learning experience for my students possible, by offering a variety of learning opportunities.
My Project
In having more options with the instant learning centers and comprehension activities, rotation material will be able to be easily changed more frequently so that learning material doesn't become stale. As with any young student being able to use the magnetic letters on the new magnetic whiteboards will excite them when having to complete word work stations.
Students will stay engaged in learning and want to continue to grow in their reading abilities, which will help them to excel in multiple areas.
Currently, students are having to share materials and it is making it hard to use what limited material is available in a small group setting, hopefully, with the addition of the new classroom set headphones, students will be able to get the most out of small-group instruction time by allowing for more listening stations.
