My Students
My school is filled with an awesome group of kids! They come from a very high poverty area. They work hard each day, and one thing I wish they didn't have to worry about is what they are wearing. Students have a constant need for supplies and uniforms. The students have amazing hearts and a want to learn. By providing them with donations my goal is to give them what they need to focus on the important things at school!
My Project
I have received a grant for a math fluency program for 35 students in my school. Students each day have to make a goal of hitting a green light. Although I have some technology available in the room, I don't always have the resources for students who take longer to get to the green light. I would love to add to my technology in the room with the iPads and headphones that I'm requesting. This would help my students that take longer have a better chance each day of achieving their goal. Fact fluency is such a battle in my class, and I prefer something exciting and engaging.
