I have a classroom of 18 students. My students are very diverse. A very high percentage of children in my school are from low-income families. This percentage is above 60%. My students have different hardships, but they do their best to succeed. While at school I try to create an engaging, fun, loving, and caring environment where students can learn through hands-on activities and amazing literature.
Students come to school always willing to do their best to succeed, and they love to discover the world around them.
I have wonderful students who are eager to learn and work hard. My students also learn with fun and engaging activities in every subject. I am proud of the determination and drive that my students show each day when they come into school.
My classroom is a home away from home for my students. In my project, I am asking for a variety of items. I am asking for the headrests for students to use around the room when reading. I am asking for throw pillows so students could use them in our classroom library. These pillows and headrests will also be used as a reward for students. When behaved, students will be able to take a pillow around the room and work comfortably on an assignment.
When my students are comfortable, it gives them a safe place where they are able to do their best when reading and completing assignments.
I noticed when students have the option to be a little bit more comfortable in class, they have the ambition to use a pillow. Students also like to bring pillows to their desks when they feel anxious. When students do this, it gives them something to hug and grab onto to lower anxiety. In all, these pillows will be an amazing asset to my classroom environment. With your help, we can create an atmosphere where students love to learn even more.
