My Students

This year teaching has been very interesting. I have an amazing group of 6th graders. They are kind, caring, hardworking kids who deserve the best they can get in education. Some of them I have not even met in person due to COVID 19 and some of them I am blessed to see in person 2 days a week during our hybrid program. I just want to give them the best learning experience I can whether they are virtual or hybrid.

My Project

These materials will be used to help me achieve the best set up for teaching my students during COVID-19. I teach 6th graders both virtually and hybrid and with the items I requested I would be able to teach them on a better level. I believe that it would create an overall better experience for all of us. Supplies like the IPAD, monitor, surge protector, and keyboard will allow me to create a virtual teaching station to educate my students. My goal is to be able to see all of my students in the class as well as the materials I am using to teach. By seeing all of my students I will be able to keep them more engaged and on task. Visual access is crucial during virtual learning.

As a science teacher I will need the students to be able to see all that I am doing when conducting science labs so they can follow along safely.

I want to make sure that they are able to be hands on. Their learning outcomes include discussing and working out scientific situations with their peers and the teacher, using scientific vocabulary to explain ideas, and interact with the teacher.

The individually wrapped snacks are included in case students forget a snack then I can provide one while still following COVID safety precautions.

All items included on my list would be a huge blessing to my students and I. COVID 19 has brought about so many changes in education at this time for both educators and students and I do believe that with these additional resources I will be able to educate my students at a higher more rigorous level then I am able to do at the moment. I want the absolute best for my amazing group of 6th graders.
