This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a class of 20 second graders. They live, for the most part, in a low income neighborhood. They come to school ready to learn, but sometimes lack all of the supplies they need for school. They are hard workers and they want to please. They are happy children who like to smile and laugh.

My students have learned a lot so far this year.

They are proud of their progress, as I am. I wish I could give them everything, bu I can't.

My Project

We are fortunate to have computers available to us all day, everyday in our classroom. The only problem we have is finding enough headphones that work each day. Students sometimes take theirs home, they break, they get lost.

A class set of headphones would make it so much easier to use our technology.

Students wouldn't waste so much time trying to find a set of headphones to use. They would be able to hear when they are using a computer. And we'd all be less frustrated at computer time. Broken and missing headphones are the biggest complaint I deal with on a daily basis.
