My students need 3D pens and filament refills to create 3D story illustrations and help bring their writings to life.

At our school, out motto is “Full STEAM Ahead. Opening minds through the academics and arts.”
We want the moments that matter most to be those in which our students learn not only the curriculum, but life lessons that will carry them through their teenage years and into adulthood.
This is not always easy in a lower income neighborhood where 100% of students receive free lunch. Recently, our Title I resources were cut due to dwindling finances and budgets. Despite these hardships, our students continue to push to enhance their learning. They do not let poverty and hardship be obstacles in their learning. They come to school each day with an insatiable thirst for knowledge and ready to be the best versions of themselves. Despite the hardships, these wonderful students are moving “Full STEAM Ahead”!
Currently, my students are using different online storyboard programs to help with their story writing. These programs allow students to create scenes and animations to go along with the stories they have written. For this project, we would like to use 3D doodle pens to allow students to create objects and scenes to accompany their stories.
3D doodle pens will allow many opportunities for students to bring the world of writing and STEM together to create wonderful stories and 3D illustrations.
Students will be able to use the 3D pens to draw objects or figures from their story to create 3D scenes of their writing. Students will be able to turn their writings into actual 3D shapes and objects to help create a visual of their stories. Students will be able to watch their stories take shape into actual tangible objects and watch as their stories take a life of their own. With your generous donation, my students will be able to tie together their story writing with their artistic skills and abilities. Thank you for your help!
