This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember learning how to spell? Was it a challenge for you?

My students often struggle with spelling words correctly.

For many of them English is their second language. This presents an extra challenge! Also, my students spent time outside of school texting, emailing and sending instant messages. This also contributes to their lack of spelling skills.

My Project

In an effort to increase my students spelling skills, I would like to make it more fun. I plan to use the traditional Scrabble game to achieve this goal. The idea would be that students would practice their spelling words and learn new ones to become better spellers...and hopefully have a little fun along the way.

Making a donation to this project will go towards helping my students become more successful in all of their school subjects.
