Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are in a high school special services self contained class. These students have a variety of emotional as well as physical challenges. They love to learn and enjoy being able to socialize with their peers.
We have a need for school classroom supplies, arts and crafts supplies, games, puzzles and also personal hygiene items.
We help these students to learn how to care for themselves both in the classroom as well as their homes. Our students also learn life and basic job skills that will help them be successful after their graduation.
My Project
I am requesting a variety of games and manipulatives that will be used to teach my students the importance of sharing and working in groups. The games and activities will also help to enhance our students class time while teaching them hand eye coordination and the lesson of respect for our supplies, games and other items that we use on an everyday basis. These items will allow our students to learn and experience through touch, sight, sounds and sharing.
