I love the enthusiasm of my students. They learn by doing. They get a taste of what science can offer them. It is fun to see them learn. My students are an energetic group of 6th and 7th graders that love to learn science through inquiry and hands-on application. They need to explore science and see it come alive.
Chemical reactions, space exploration, water, feeding fish and a turtle, cells, and cell division!!!
What are we doing today Mrs. V? They are always looking forward to the projects and labs.
My Project
Project-based learning, STEAM activities, high engagement lab activities using supplies like the microscope, balance scale, test tubes, prepared slides, and droppers are general supplies that are foundational to completing any of the above lessons. We will be engaged in chemical reactions, cell study, and the study of mass.
This project will help us ignite a fire to inspire these students to future possibilities.
These students need to explore, complete labs, create chemical reactions, learn, and learn some more. Measuring baking soda, vinegar, yeast, and peroxide set off chemical reactions that cause the students to gasp with awe and pinch their nose with "eww" but it results in explaining some great vocabulary, such as exothermic reaction.
