Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students walk into school every day with a hill of challenges to overcome. These kids are passionate, trustworthy, and they are tough. They want to be like everyone else, but yet, they appreciate being different. They are as diverse as they come.
My students hide the struggles they are battling with adorable smiles and get-it-done attitudes.
My students succeed because they have to. They try their best, and when that isn't good enough, they march on. Life won't get them down. My students achieve because deep down they know they HAVE to.
My Project
With your help and donation, my students will have fun discovering how magnets and magnetism work. They will be experimenting in the classroom and then at home. My kiddos will become geologists and study rocks, and eventually break open amazing geodes. The Teacher Pay Teacher gift card will help provide lesson plans and craft projects to supplement these science experiments.
An exciting way we will be learning about life cycles will be by hatching butterflies!
We eventually will release them into our school's garden. My students will learn about the various stages and be able to draw and write about their butterflies, magnets, rocks, and other wonderings.
