My students need 5 Chromebooks to take them beyond the walls of our classroom as we study and read about different countries, communities, and cultures.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My school is considered a Title 1, low income, high-needs school. No matter the various backgrounds my students come from they all come with one goal in mind, to improve and exceed. The students in my class are creative and full of joy.
My students are hard workers and they own their learning.
They love exploring and learning new things. My goal is to provide my students with a relevant and engaging experience that they can use for their future endeavors.
My Project
Having a set of Chromebooks will allow for different structures of learning in my classroom. One way they will be used is as a STEM center. Math, Science, and Technology are the embodiment of STEM. Another way they will be using the Chromebooks is recording student achievement and student data. My students could collaborate on group findings by sharing through the cloud. Interactive learning centers are extremely beneficial to students retaining various information. As their teacher, I could download apps for various math practice skills for a math center, which would allow me to have activities for both my highest performing and most struggling students.
