My Students

Figuring out how to successfully group students for a guided reading group is no small task. Bringing them over to a place where they feel safe and comfortable is so important. I joined this site in hopes that I was able to provide my students with a new guided reading table where I am able to successfully meet the needs of all of my diverse students. Loving to read, loving books and feeling at ease while doing both is so important. By having this table, I will be able to better hear my students, work more closely with them and individualize my instruction while helping them learn to read.

My Project

Reading is such an integral part of a child's educational journey! Reading closely with my students hasn't always been so easy and accommodating. The kids and I are always trying to move chairs and tables around. We do this so I am able to hear my students read to me, while making them and myself comfortable. With this size and shaped table, I am able to sit in the middle of my students while listening to my diverse readers as well as individualize instruction. My students are going to be so happy when they see this new piece of furniture in our room!
