Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember how much you wanted recess in fourth grade? Well, why not mix fun and games into reading? These reading center games will allow students to learn skills while having a blast.
My students are very competitive and hyper in spirit.
Games encourage them to learn and let this energy out. They are amazing children and some do not have supplies at home to help them. The school is in a growing, populated area that a diverse group of students try their best with what they have.
My Project
Most of my children are economically disadvantaged and don't have learning games or materials at home to help them. I try to provide these at school so they love learning. These reading games will help them with multiple meaning words, vocabulary, and context clues which are skills necessary to pass the state test.
Reading is essential in life.
Kids always want to play. When we mix fun and learning by using these reading games, the students are actively engaged at all times and learn to love school. Also, the games are skills they need for the state tests they have to pass.
