My Students

Do you remember that one class in school that you absolutely loved? The one class where you couldn't wait to go to so that you could learn new things? I do, and I want to make sure that my students have that same experience and love for learning that I had at their age.

I am honored to once again be teaching second grade, where the students are enthusiastic, caring, and eager to learn each day.

Our school is an ELL school so I have students from many different backgrounds, some speaking more than one language. My students' diversity, brings so much to the classroom and it is a great opportunity for us to learn from one another.

My Project

In the past, learning meant sitting at a desk and working with paper and pencil. Kids are active learners who need hands-on materials to engage them. They need to be up, moving, and learning all at the same time. Having the reading comprehension games will help us to reinforce the skills without having to always rely on paper and pencil. I believe these materials will inspire my students in a fun and engaging way and it will help them become more active learners.

Learning can be fun, when you have the right tools and my students will hopefully remember their educational experience as a positive one.

I want them to walk away with wonderful memories of their time spent in second grade!
