Help me give my students books that will continue to entertain and make reading fun and ear phones that will make computer time a more personal experience rather than a whole group distraction.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom consists of 13 second grade students with special needs. Their needs range from ADHD to autism and intellectually disabled. Our school is located in Los Angeles, California. We are predominantly latino. Many of our students' families fall into low income categories.
The classroom library and computer lab are the only source of books and computer experience that they have outside of the classroom.
Many of them do not get a chance to check out book from the public library or increase their technological skills due to their home situation. This is their chance to improve in their reading and computer skills.
My Project
This year, the computer center has been a distraction for my students. The computer center is too loud and the students become easily distracted. The new headphones will help me prevent this distraction.
My students have become bored with the same classroom library books that they have had since the beginning of the school year.
I have allowed my students to pick and choose books from this website in order to replaced and replenished their classroom library. These new and entertaining books will make reading fun for them because they are topics and stories that they are interested in! Thanks!
