Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school serves students in grades K-8 and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers and a safe learning environment.
My students are crazy, fun loving students who are eager to learn about the world around them!
The students in our class come from diverse backgrounds and have a multitude of skills and hobbies. We have built a culture of collaboration and shared investigation that pulls together individual strengths and interests.
We have a classroom built around having a strong community in our classroom. This has been created by fostering a love of learning, of being curious and having a student centered classroom!
My Project
In third grade, we focus on building the love of reading! My students this year are loving graphic novels and our library is in desperate need of more of these books. All donations will go to buying more graphic novels for our library
With the purchase of these graphic novels, my students will have access to more books that they love!
This project will increase my student's engagement overall! The books will help by giving them access to new series and books they want to read! This will help to instill the passion and drive to want to read! Help make reading fun for my third graders!
