Only half of the students in my homeroom love to read. I work with a few classes during the day, however, this project is for my homeroom students. They are a diverse group of interesting kids. I want all of them to enjoy reading.

My classroom structures literacy time so students can choose what to read for a portion of their scheduled Language Arts block. I want this to be a fun time for my students and something they look forward to.
There are many students who struggle with reading and reading stamina. Having high interest books will help boost their enjoyment of reading in my classroom.
My Project
I have a homeroom of 25 students, half of whom don't love to read, yet. I want all of my students to enjoy reading. I believe everyone would benefit from having books they want to read and a comfortable place to read them.
Having high interest graphic novels, and comfortable pillows on which to read the graphic novels, will help my students build their reading stamina and boost their enjoyment!
The half who love to read will enjoy the pillows and the books because they have already learned how much fun reading can be. The pillow will be a bonus for them!
