Headphones for Hard Workers!

Help me give my students quality headphones for technology use in the classroom. We do not have a class set of headphones, therefore the students are not getting effective, independent, focused technology time-especially for intervention.

My Students

My kindergarten students are creative, motivated and passionate learners. They are eager to learn every day and love coming to school to a warm classroom environment. They come from hardworking families, however, this may cause a lack of educational support at home.

My classroom is a full inclusion classroom with students with diverse backgrounds, who come from different areas in an urban setting.

More than 90% come from low-income homes.

They are the most positive, creative, and motivated young learners!

My Project

With a class of 20, students will be able to have their own pair of working headphones in order to compete in online tasks and educational programs. Students are required to complete 45 minutes per week on an online, district-mandated program on the Chromebook.

However, if the students are unable to have a pair of headphones where they can complete their minutes in a calm and quiet environment, the students will be forced to work in a loud and distracting environment.

As early learners, my kindergarteners will be able to learn in a comfortable, relaxing and fun environment. These headphones will help the students work on the computers independently since they will be able to clearly hear all instruction through the over-the-ear headphones.
